Our Board

Our current board of directors will serve their two-year terms until June 21, 2026. They are all volunteers:

Emily Duwel is a resident of Oracle, Arizona. In addition to her personal work in the arts and communications, she is an instructor at Pima and Central Arizona Community Colleges. 

Peter Else lives on the San Pedro River four miles south of the Aravaipa Creek confluence. Peter has served as chair and statutory agent since the LSPWA was formed.

Melissa Crytzer Fry is a professional writer with 501c3 administrative experience who lives between Mammoth and San Manuel and serves as LSPWA Secretary. 

Steve Marlatt is a wildlife biologist and retired educator based in Willcox, Arizona and has land ties to the St. David area. He has a particular passion for protecting the Galiuro Mountains..

David Omick is based in Cascabel and promotes ecologically responsible lifestyles.  He serves as LSPWA's Vice-Chair and is the main link to LSPWA’s sister organization, the Cascabel Conservation Association.

Jennifer Walden lives near Mammoth and works in Oracle.  Jennifer is a dedicated conservation advocate, has administrative experience, and serves as LSPWA Treasurer.
